28 September 2023: New head of Agence France Trésor: Antoine Deruennes

Antoine DERUENNES will take over as Director General of Agence France Trésor (AFT) on 2 October 2023. He will succeed Cyril ROUSSEAU, who has been appointed Director General of Finance at the European Investment Bank (EIB).

Antoine DERUENNES is a graduate of the École polytechnique, the London School of Economics and the École nationale de la statistique et de l'administration économique (ENSAE).

With over twenty years working on economic and financial topics in central government and at the European Commission, he spent a significant part of his career at the French Treasury, which he joined in 2008.

After an earlier spell at the AFT as Deputy Chief Executive from 2016 to 2019, Antoine DERUENNES was appointed Head of the Public Policy Department within the French Treasury in January 2020 to advise the Minister for Economy and Finance on public finances and on economic challenges in the areas of employment, taxation, green transition, social and sectoral policies.
