07 July 2021: Appointment of Cyril Rousseau as Chief Executive of Agence France Trésor

Cyril ROUSSEAU is appointed as Chief Executive of Agence France Trésor as of 1 August 2021, succeeding Anthony REQUIN who was appointed Inspector General of Finance on 1st July 2021, after six years at the head of AFT.



Cyril ROUSSEAU was Deputy Chief Executive of Agence France Trésor since February 2020. He spent most of his career in the Directorate-General of the Treasury, which he joined in 2004 and where he previously was Deputy Assistant Secretary for Multilateral Financial Affairs and Development and Vice-Chairman of the Paris Club. Economic and Financial Counselor at the French Embassy in Beijing from 2011 to 2014 then Deputy Managing Director, until end 2015, of the government fund supporting French local authorities exposed to high-market risk liabilities, he also held the position of AFT’s Head of Market Operations from 2006 to 2009. He is a graduate of Ecole polytechnique and of ENSTA (Superior National School of Advanced Techniques).
