Michel Sapin, Minister of Finance and Public Accounts, has approved the new selection of the primary dealers team (SVT), on recommendation by a selecting committee and by the Director General of the Treasury. The selected establishments have a renewable three-year term, in compliance with the new charter for their activity published by Agence France Trésor (to be available soon in English).
The following SVTs have been given a new term:
BANK OF AMERICA - MERRILL LYNCH, BARCLAYS BANK, BNP PARIBAS, CITIGROUP, COMMERZBANK, CREDIT AGRICOLE - CIB, DEUTSCHE BANK, GOLDMAN SACHS, HSBC FRANCE, JP MORGAN, MORGAN STANLEY, NATIXIS, NOMURA, ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND, SANTANDER, SCOTIABANK, SOCIETE GENERALE, UBS.
The list has 11 European banks, 6 North American banks and one Japanese bank. This geographical diversity confirms the central role and the attractiveness of the French sovereign debt in the Euro debt market.
