As recalled in the indicative State financing programme for 2024, the State may create, as announced in its indicative financing programme for 2021, a securities reserve mechanism, managed by the Caisse de la dette publique (CDP), in order to mobilise, if necessary, liquidity up to €20 billion via short-term repo operations.
This mechanism has been tested twice, in 2021 and in 2023.
Agence France Trésor announces today the creation of a securities reserve for 2024. To this end, the State will create €20 billion of securities on 05 February 2024, which the CDP may use as of this date.
The securities created are as follows:
- OAT 2.50 % 24 September 2026 for € 2 billion
- OAT 0.25 % 25 November 2026 for € 2 billion
- OAT 2.75 % 25 October 2027 for € 2 billion
- OAT 0.75 % 25 November 2028 for € 2 billion
- OAT 0% 25 November 2029 for € 2 billion
- OAT 0% 25 November 2030 for € 2 billion
- OAT 0% 25 November 2031 for € 2 billion
- OAT 5.75% 25 October 2032 for € 2 billion
- OAT 2.00% 25 November 2032 for € 2 billion
- OAT 3.50% 25 November 2033 for € 2 billion
These securities will be cancelled before the 31st December 2024. AFT will communicate on any changes made to this list during the year.
