25 November 2024: Appointment of the primary dealers’ selection committee for the 2025-2027 period

Agence France Trésor (AFT) announced on 10 September 2024 the launch of the selection process for its primary dealers for the 2025-2027 period.

The list of primary dealers will be approved by Antoine Armand, Minister for the Economy, Finance and Industry, on a proposal from the Director General of the Treasury, Bertrand Dumont and based on the opinion of a selection committee chaired by Jean-Claude Trichet, Honorary Governor of the Banque de France and former President of the European Central Bank. 

The selection committee, which will meet at the end of November, comprises six other members:  

  • Mr. Kévin Mauvieux, Member of Parliament, Member of the National Assembly’s Finance, General Economy and Budget Monitoring Committee, and Special rapporteur of a report on appropriations for the “Central Government Financial Commitments” mission, appointed by the Chairman of the National Assembly's Finance Committee

  • Mr. Jean-Michel Arnaud, Senator, Member of the Senate’s Constitutional Laws, Legislation, Universal Suffrage, Standing Orders and General Administration, and former Member of the Senate’s Finance Committee, appointed by the Chairman of the Senate's Finance Committee

  • Mrs. Emmanuelle Assouan, Director General for Financial Stability and Operations at the Banque de France, representing the Governor of the Banque de France

  • Mr. Marc Auberger, General Inspector of Finance

  • Mr. Sébastien Raspiller, Secretary General of the Autorité des Marchés Financiers and Mrs. Alexandra Givry, Head of Data and Surveillance at the Autorité des Marchés Financiers, representing the President of the Autorité des Marchés Financiers.
